About Let's Go Motorhomes
Let's Go Motorhomes is one of the few rental operators in Australia that can credibly claim to have the newest fleet in the industry. The average vehicle age sits at two to four years. When a vehicle hits three years old, they start planning its replacement. That is a genuine commitment to fleet age — not a marketing line.
The company operates under the Jayco umbrella. Jayco is Australia's largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles, and Let's Go is their rental arm. Every vehicle in the fleet is Jayco-built. That means a consistent standard, factory-fresh fit-outs, and direct access to Jayco's national service network of 90-plus dealer and repair centres if something goes wrong on the road.
Formerly known as Around Australia Motorhomes. The rebrand brought fresh branding and a significant fleet upgrade. The product has improved noticeably since the name change.
Fleet
Eleven models across two categories: campervans and motorhomes. The campervan range — Tourer, Escape, Atlas, and Adventurer — runs on Renault Master, Fiat Ducato, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. All automatic. The motorhome range — Roamer, Grandiose, Quatro, Royale (4-berth), Excursion, Royale (6-berth), and Journey — is bigger and better equipped, with full bathrooms, walk-through layouts, and proper-sized kitchens.
Every vehicle in the fleet has an automatic transmission. 120W solar panels are fitted across the range. All linen is included: bedding, towels, bath mat, tea towels. Camping chairs and a table are standard. GPS is available on request. No credit card surcharge. Price match guarantee if you find a lower quote. Unlimited kilometres.
The Journey 6-berth and the Tourer 2-berth are pet-friendly. These are the only two models that allow animals on board — confirm with reservations before booking if this matters to your trip.
If you're comparing across the major operators — Apollo Campers, Britz, and Maui — the Jayco build quality and fleet age policy are the clearest differentiators. Budget operators like Mighty Campers run older stock at lower price points; Let's Go sits firmly in the mid-to-premium tier with a noticeably fresher product.
Branch Network
Fourteen depots across Australia: Sydney (Lansvale), Melbourne (Tullamarine), Brisbane (Geebung), Adelaide (Mile End South), Perth (Kewdale), Darwin (Winnellie), Hobart (Cambridge), Cairns (Edmonton), Townsville, Coffs Harbour, Geelong (Newcomb), Broome, Canberra (Queanbeyan), and Gippsland (Bairnsdale). That is the most comprehensive branch network of any motorhome operator in Australia.
Main reservations line is 1800 538 746. Some branches have direct lines — Hobart, Geelong, Townsville, and Coffs Harbour each have their own numbers. Hobart is the only location open seven days.
One-way hire is available between all branches. One-way fees: $149 for most routes; $249 for Cairns routes and Perth/Darwin routes. If you are doing a straight Sydney-to-Cairns run, you do not need to double back.
Insurance
Five tiers. Bronze is included at no extra cost but carries a $5,000 damage exposure and requires a $5,000 refundable deposit — most travellers should not be sitting on that kind of hold. Silver ($39/day) halves the exposure to $2,500. Gold ($49/day) drops it to $1,250. Platinum ($77/day, or $119/day for 7–9 day rentals) takes it to $750. Platinum Plus ($130/day) is the zero-excess, no-deposit option.
Worth checking your travel credit card first — many policies include rental vehicle excess cover. If yours does, the lower tiers may be sufficient. Our complete guide to campervan hire insurance in Australia breaks down exactly what's covered and what to watch for across all major operators.
Who Should Book
Book if: You want one of the newest fleets available in Australia without paying at the very top of the market. You need a pet-friendly motorhome. You are doing a multi-city one-way itinerary — fourteen depots gives you the flexibility most operators cannot match. You want all linen, all gear, and an all-automatic fleet without hunting for what is and is not included.
Skip if: You need 4WD capability for unsealed road access. Let's Go is sealed roads only, with limited exceptions for well-maintained access roads. Their insurance does not cover damage on dirt tracks. For off-road itineraries, Cruisin' Motorhomes has 4WD-capable options worth considering.

Verdict
Let's Go Motorhomes delivers what the marketing says it delivers: modern vehicles, all-inclusive fit-outs, and a branch network that covers the country properly. The Jayco build quality holds up in practice. The fleet age policy means you are not getting unlucky with a decade-old vehicle dressed up with fresh upholstery.
This is a mid-to-premium operator. The quality justifies the pricing. If fleet newness matters to you — and for most first-timers and families it should — Let's Go is the straightforward recommendation.

Vehicle Fleet
The Jayco Adventurer is the most capable 2-berth campervan in the Let's Go fleet. Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter — the only Sprinter-based vehicle Let's Go offers — it brings a noticeably different driving experience: a feature-packed cab, tougher tyres, and greater ground clearance than the Renault Master campervans. The permanent double bed eliminates the nightly setup ritual. The slide-out fridge is a clever touch for campsite living. The bathroom has what the company calls 'fancy fixtures and fittings' — this is marketing language, but the shower and instant-hot-water system are genuinely above the standard campervan spec. Why we like it: If you want a 2-berth campervan but need the best driving dynamics in the category — especially for routes that include unsealed access roads — the Adventurer is the one to pick. What's Unique: Only Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in the Let's Go campervan range. Slide-out fridge gives you standing fridge access at camp. 9-speed automatic gearbox makes long highway stretches smooth and efficient. Ground clearance advantage over Master-based vans. All standard Let's Go inclusions: linen, camping chairs, table, kitchen kit, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
The Atlas is the most premium compact van in the Let's Go Motorhomes lineup. Its European-influenced styling is evident in the sleek cabinetry, smooth surfaces, and advanced driving features. This van is especially well-insulated, which is a blessing for colder nights and hot days. Inside, the kitchen is convenient without feeling cramped, and sleeping arrangements are comfortable for two. Why we like it: We appreciate the Atlas for its touch of luxury in a smaller package. It's perfect for couples who want style as well as substance.
For two travelers seeking a flexible and comfortable journey, the Jayco Escape offers a higher roof for added headroom and a spacious sleeping space that's easy to convert. Its thoughtful design places a practical kitchen at the heart of the van, while blackout blinds and large windows provide great privacy and scenic views. Air conditioning ensures a comfortable ride even on warmer days, and ample storage lets you travel without compromise. Why we like it: The Escape’s clever use of space and simple ergonomics make travel easy, and the higher roof means you won’t have to crouch – a real bonus for longer trips. What’s Unique: Sleek and compact, built on a Renault Master chassis, the Escape offers excellent maneuverability for city streets and tight spaces. Convertible double bed (option for two singles) – large enough for two adults, but makes great use of minimal space. Full kitchenette with a two-burner gas stove, sink, and compact fridge lets you cook all your meals on board (visible in gallery images). Instant hot water system for showers and washing up. Toilet and shower facilities included—excellent for off-grid camping. Outdoor camping chairs and table always provided. Ample storage for bags beneath bench seating. Modern USB charging points.
The Grandiose takes luxury up a notch for the two-berth traveler. Elegant bedding and a full-sized bathroom make it feel more like a boutique hotel than a motorhome. The entertainment center is top-of-the-line, with options for relaxing nights. Interiors are finished with plush touches and ample storage, while driving comfort is outstanding, with smooth handling for tougher roads. Why we like it: If you seek comfort and style for a couple’s getaway, the Grandiose is a clear favorite – spacious, plush, and thoughtfully designed. What’s Unique: Built on the reliable Iveco Daily 50C or Fiat Ducato, Grandiose aims for a hotel-room-on-wheels experience. Large space, easy entry and setup: the wide living area converts into a comfortable queen-sized bed at night. Kitchen features fridge/freezer, microwave, three-burner gas stove, and a deep sink—images show generous countertop prep space. Modern, full bathroom with separate shower and cassette toilet, solar system for off-grid stays. Features reverse-cycle air conditioning, TV/DVD, radio/CD, and a rollout awning for outdoor shade. Huge light-filled windows, privacy curtains, and smart under-seat storage in dining area.
Moving up in size, the Roamer targets travelers who crave a little more living space. The open-plan interior is much more comfortable for longer journeys, with a walk-through layout that brings the kitchen, lounge, shower, and toilet all under one roof. It’s easy to access the amenities from the driver’s cabin, and the daytime living area feels spacious and homely, thanks to soft seating and plenty of light. Why we like it: The Roamer makes longer trips much more enjoyable, thanks to its generous layout and full bathroom – ideal for couples taking time to explore at their own speed.
Compact and cleverly designed, the Jayco Tourer is ideal for couples or solo travelers who want the freedom to wander without the bulk of a motorhome. The interior features a convertible dinette that opens up the space by day and transforms into a cozy sleeping area at night. With a well-equipped kitchenette that includes a fridge, microwave, sink, and gas cooktop, you’ll find everything you need for easy meals on the go. The Tourer’s entertainment system keeps downtime relaxing, and its smart design makes it perfect for city exploration. Why we like it: The Tourer is small enough to maneuver with ease yet offers all the comforts you need for a short getaway. Standing room and convenient storage make it ideal for those who want practical simplicity without sacrificing amenities.
The Jayco Quatro slots in between the Roamer and the larger Royale 4-berth — a proper 4-berth motorhome on a Volkswagen Crafter chassis, without the premium pricing of the Royale. Two double beds: one drops down electronically over the living area, one sits above the driver's cab. Both are proper doubles at 2032mm x 1430mm. The kitchen is a full three-burner setup with a 171L fridge/freezer and microwave. The bathroom has a separate shower cubicle and toilet — not a combined wet room. Child restraint is available on the rear seat (one anchor point, one child restraint or two booster seats). One thing to note: the bike rack is not available for the Quatro. If cycling is part of your itinerary, the Royale 4-berth or Excursion 5-berth are the right options. Why we like it: The Quatro gives families and groups a genuine 4-berth motorhome experience at a more accessible price point than the Royale. The VW Crafter drives well and the 2100mm internal height makes a big difference to day-to-day comfort. What's Unique: Walk-through cab access means you do not have to go outside to move between the driving cab and living area. Electronic drop-down bed keeps floor space clear during the day — open it at night and it descends into position. Double bed above the cab suits kids or adventurous adults. Reversing camera standard on all Let's Go motorhomes.
Ideal for a small family or two couples, the Jayco Royale blends functional design with home-style comfort. Two double beds mean no one is squeezed in, and a convertible lounge doubles as both relaxation and sleeping space. There’s a full kitchen for hearty meals, loads of overhead storage, and the cab-over sleeping area adds a touch of fun for the kids. The bathroom is practical and clean, and there’s room for everyone to stretch out. Why we like it: The Royale balances living space and practicality, making it our pick for small families who want easy days and restful nights on the road.
